REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 MUSTANG CLASSIC IS NOW LIVE! 

The East Rowan High School Mustang Regiment, and the East/Erwin Band Parents Association are excited to invite you to the Mustang Classic Band Festival on October 18th, 2025. Please confirm that the information is complete and accurate in order to ensure you and your students have the best experience! Any update to the information provided below should be emailed to Hannah Taylor,  East Rowan Band Director at taylorhn@rss.k12.nc.us. 

East Rowan is located five miles from downtown Salisbury, NC and within an hours drive of Charlotte and Greensboro. This year's competition will begin at 10:00am with awards projected to start around 4:00pm. Register now to join the fun and excitement of this competition day!

The Mustang Classic employs the 40/30/30 scoring system:

40% for Music

30% for Marching 

30% for General Effect

Additional captions such as drum major, percussion, and colorguard will receive feedback and captions scores but those scores will not included in overall class scoring. Class determinations may be altered to create a balanced and equitable competition for all bands. 

Registration deadline is September 1st, 2025.  Registration fee is $100.

Order of performance will be determined by the postmark date on the check. Band order for those registered on the same day within the same class will be decided based on the time stamp of the online registration form.
